Wotcher, I'm Yana!

If Harry Potter was real-
I would attend Hogwarts and be placed into Hufflepuff. While at school, I would excell in Defense Against The Dark Arts, Potions, Herbology, Transfigerations, and Charms. People would know me as the friendly, cheerful, rather uncoordinated and talkative Seaker of my House Quidditch Team who is best friends with Tonks. After graduating, I'd become an Auror and a member of the Order Of The Phoenix; I'd be daring and brave and unafraid of defending what is right and good. Oh, if only that could happen...

But since we all know that it won't-
I go to a public school on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. I am a senior in high school with hopes of becomming either a psychologist or a teacher of the visually impaired. I am a writer aspiring to be published and an infamous text messager. I love to read, sing, act, write, watch TV, talk, be online, and learn.

I consider myself a quirk. Not a geek, dork, or nerd, just a plane, eccentric quirk. I'm rather quiet until you get to know me--people who know me may say that it's difficult to shut me up. I'm also optomistic, loyal, honest, determined, strong-willed, slightly rebelious, a perfectionist, and the eldest child.

I grew up in a Christian home and Christ has never not been a part of my life. I live to serve Him and to show His love to others. Without God, my life would be meaningless, hopeless, and joyless; I am so glad that He lives in me.

I was born 3 months premature which resulted in my being visually impaired. I have no vision in my right eye and not much in my left. Sometimes I pride myself on being able to read Braille because I can read in thedark and it's almost like a different language. I use a white cane to get around and am pretty comfortable with it. I'm not sure if I'll get a guide dog any time soon, but if I could, I'd want a golden retriever.

I love fantasy stories because they are so out of this world but so true to life. The Harry Potter series and the Dragon Keeper Chronicles are my two favorites right now. I also like Twilight- I'm a romantic at heart, Magyk- a bit like HP, The Fire Within- the Pennykettle Dragons are awesom, Eragon- a great debut series, and The Alex Rider Adventures- the secret agent life sounds really neat.

But Ialso love the classics. The Bronte sisters are my favoirte classic authors, then Charles Dickens, then Jane Austen. I love the elequence and splender of those novels and how they are so true to the time. Shakespeare is also good, once you get past the lengthiness of it all, the plays are monumentally brilliant.

When I'm not burried in a book, I'm usually plopped on the couch watching TV. My favorite show right now is Kyle XY. Or I'll be lounging on my bed with theradio on- I like any type of music but mainly Christian rock. And when I'm not veging away, I might be acting, singing, or both. I've done comunity, church, and school plays for a long time and I sing on my chuch's Praise Team. I'm not very active but I do like going for walks- but that's it- I don't like running, I'm horrible on the court, and I can't even bowl.

So Anyway, if Harry Potter was real, I'd have a way more exciting life. But the one I've got is just perfect. I have a great family, good friends, and I've been blessed with so many opportunities it's really cool. Although, I wouldn't object to having magical abilities :)
